Essential Questions About Heated Tobacco
01What is HNB, and how does a heated tobacco system work?
HNB, or heat-not-burn, combines an electronic heating device with a specially designed tobacco stick. The device heats the tobacco without intended combustion and produces a nicotine-containing aerosol.
02How is HNB different from an e-cigarette?
An HNB device heats specially processed tobacco inside a stick. An e-cigarette heats a liquid. They are different product categories, and their consumables and devices are not interchangeable.
03Does tobacco burn in an HNB device?
HNB systems are designed to heat tobacco rather than burn it. The absence of combustion does not make the aerosol harmless: it still contains nicotine and other chemicals.
04Are heated tobacco products safe?
No tobacco product is safe. HNB products contain addictive nicotine and are intended only for adult tobacco consumers. People who do not use tobacco products should not start.
05Can any heated tobacco stick be used with any HNB device?
No. The heating method, stick dimensions and structure, chamber geometry and operating parameters must match. Farstar Classic is intended for verified compatible blade-heating devices, while NSC is used only with dedicated circumferential-heating devices.
